Schwan's Boneless Pork Loin Chops

Summer’s last hurrah is Labor Day weekend. Warm weather and weekend fun may go through September, but with kids headed back to school and summer activities winding down, it’s on Labor Day weekend that we gather, celebrate, and enjoy good eats and good company together.

Looking for a little late-summer inspiration for the grill? Read on.

  • Smoky Sweet Bacon Burger: Our premium Black Angus Burger is topped with fully cooked bacon that’s been sweetened with brown sugar. Dress with a Dijon-spiced mayo and finish with white cheddar cheese.
  • Citrus-Brined Pork Chops: Brining is a time-tested process that involves soaking in salty water or other liquid to lock in moisture. When you brine meat, it ensures that it will stay juicy throughout cooking, which is especially great for lean meats. This recipe uses seasoned orange juice as the brine, which will give our BUTCHER’S CUT™ Boneless Pork Loin Chops added sweetness and subtle flavors. Tip: Plan ahead and start the brine a day before.
  • Mexican-Style Street Corn: Salted, buttered sweet corn is a traditional favorite, but try this new approach from south of the border: Warm Mini Super Sweet Corn on the Cob is spread with mayo, and then rolled in Cotija (a crumbly Mexican cheese), cilantro and chili powder. Squeeze a lime wedge over the top just before eating. You may have a new family favorite!
