Ground Hog’s Day: More Chilly Days Ahead
By Schwan's Home Service, February 2, 2017
Punxsutawney Phil, the celebrity groundhog, emerged from his burrow in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to sunny skies this morning. Seeing his shadow, the frightened groundhog returned to his burrow, signaling six more weeks of winter’s chilly weather. That’s sad news indeed but here are some warm and comforting recipes that might just make you feel a little better about the wait.
Sweet Savory Lasagna Rolls with Bacon Butter Sauce: The intense flavor of our Pepper Bacon paired with Roasted Sweet Potatoes, butter and brown sugar result in a decadent sauce that’s perfect over our cheesy Lasagna Roll-Ups. Walnuts add a satisfying crunch in the sauce.
Chicken Bacon Mac and Cheese: Mac and cheese is a winter staple. If it’s still going to be winter, this is how we want our Macaroni and Cheese. Adding our Fire-Grilled Chicken Breast Strips and Fully Cooked Bacon Slices is kind of genius.
Slow-Cooker Chicken Bacon Ranch: Casserole or stew? Whatever you decide to call this hearty slow-cooker dish it’s an all-in-one meal with everything your family loves – all-white meat Premium Chicken Breast Filets, bacon and broccoli.
If we have to endure six more weeks of winter, we might as well do it tastefully.
