There are so many ways to celebrate the Fourth of July. Whatever your family’s tradition, food is probably part of the festivities. Here are some idea-starters for your gathering:
We love a parade!
You really can’t survive on candy thrown from floats. Pack a cooler with snacks and treats to enjoy curbside during the show. Italian Tortellini Salad Kabobs and Fruit Chillers are easy to prepare and travel well, packed flat.
If you’re picnicking away from your home, you’ll want foods that are easy to prepare and store. Our Fully Cooked Bratwursts cook up quickly, and these tasty Brat Toppers can be pre-made and stowed in resealable sandwich bags. A simple Pepperoni and Bow Tie Pasta Salad is a great side that also travels well.
Backyard BBQ Buffet
If you’re hosting a get-together at your house, make prep and cooking easy so you can focus on the fun. Our Black Angus Burgers are a perfect choice – they can be grilled from frozen and they cook up thick and juicy. Don’t forget the American Processed Cheese Slices, and for some real fun, choose from these 60 Burger Toppers to set up a burger-topping buffet, and let your guests create their own masterpiece! Crunchy Pea and Bacon Salad and Homemade Potato Salad are easy to make in advance – and are sure to please a crowd.
For kids, waiting for it to get dark enough for the evening fireworks display can be pure agony! Keep ‘em calm and cool with some frozen treats at sunset. Root Beer Float Bars and Ice Cream Sandwiches are classic choices.
