Schwan’s Cares™ Success: It’s a Hat Trick Plus One
By Schwan's Home Service, January 31, 2017
That’s right, this is the fourth fundraiser that the Shakopee Girls High School Hockey team has done with Schwan’s Cares™ fundraising. They began using the Schwan’s Cares™ fundraising program in 2013 and since then have raised over $5,400 through the program. The team was one of the earliest adopters of the Schwan’s Cares™ fundraising program and is still utilizing it as a significant method of raising funds for girls’ hockey.
The Shakopee Girls High School Hockey Team sees their fundraiser as a way to reach its goal of being a better team on and off the ice. The team has asked each team member to raise at least $10 over the course of the fundraiser. The team has raised over $925 in their current campaign and is leveraging every supporter they can to finish strong.
Team representative Jennifer Eastman appreciates the ease of the fundraiser, as well as the convenience of delivery of Schwan’s® foods right to her doorstep. “With three kids playing hockey,” says Jennifer, “I welcome quick nutritious meals that are convenient. I also love to promote a fundraiser where supporters get the value of the contribution back in products.”
Eastman says the team uses the funds raised to finance a number of things that support the team, including:
- Providing new opportunities for out of town tournaments and helping to offset the cost of transportation and lodging
- Team apparel and warm ups
- Away-game team lunches
We wish the team the best of luck in their efforts, both in their fundraising and on the field. Get started on raising money for your favorite charity or campaign today. Visit Schwans-Cares.com to learn more.
