When golfers from around the world tee up at Augusta National Golf Club today, they’ll instantly become a part of history. The Masters Tournament, one of four major championships that comprise the Grand Slam, has a rich history. Started in 1934 by Bob Jones, the Masters Tournament is the only major that is always played at the same course and is the only win that captures the coveted Green Jacket. And no one has worn the championship Green Jacket more often than Jack Nicklaus—winner of the Masters a record six times from 1963 through 1986.
Undoubtedly one of the finest golfers in history, Nicklaus isn’t content to limit his legacy be limited to the golf course. The 18-time major championship winner has shown a longtime dedication to children receiving quality healthcare. He and his wife Barbara are co-founders of the of the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation. It only makes sense that they teamed up with subsidiaries of The Schwan Food Company to contribute to the Children’s Miracle Network® program.
Sales of Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream help to support this national non-profit organization which raises funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals across North America.
